Best Ways To Approach Greeks!

Are you thinking about joining one of the D9 orgs? Check out this video to keep these 5 tips in mind before approaching Greeks.

First and foremost, I would just like to clarify a few points that I mentioned in the video.

As helpful as it would be to tell you all a price to aim towards before joining one of the D9 orgs, we just can’t give out that information as it would do you a disservice. Each organization and chapter within organizations are different, and prices change all of the time each year. So do not become discouraged when we do not give out that information to you all. Some may give you a “ballpark” of what you should aim for, but that depends on who you are speaking to and how you ask questions.

Second, I would like to clarify the community service hours statement. In order to continue the application process, you all must reach a certain amount of community service hours before you continue to apply. Each organization and chapter is different, so I can not speak on all of them nor tell you how many hours that you will need. That information will be exposed to you during rush, sometimes at the meet and greet, each organization is different. 

When I stated, “If your community service hours are not up, don’t even think about going to rush,” I meant if you do not have any hours of community service within a certain amount of time you can’t apply to anything...so why go if you can’t apply? Just make sure that you all are on your “A game” and at least have a good amount of hours.

Lastly, I would like to stress again to all of my legacy individuals, do not feel pressured into joining an organization if you feel you are not a good fit. Ultimately, that decision is up to you and you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. So make the right choice for yourself and be happy.
