Nipsey Hussle’s Candle Vigil

Yesterday, April 13th was the day that #RDU represented and held a candle 🕯vigil for Nipsey Hussle. And it was very BEAUTIFUL!

Some people are unaware of the major IMPACT that this individual had on his community and EVERYONE’S community around the world. This is ONE person who was an artist AND gave back to his community and never turned his back on his hood.

Instead of using his money on just himself, he invested in his community to enhance the options that were provided to residents. He opened his clothing store Marathon, Vector 90 aka a co-working space center (and co-founded “Too Big To Fail”) geared to underrepresented groups in the STEM field, etc, etc! 

And not to mention, he had the power of having both Crips and Bloods unite together not only in LA but also in NC at the candle vigil, which has not happened since 92’. 

His impact leaves me in awe. I’m so glad that God blessed us with such an amazing soul. 

My prayers and heart goes out to Lauren! I can’t imagine how that could feel! I am literally hurting for her. This was not suppose to happen. Let’s continue Nip’s legacy of being positive in our community but doing more for the community. This has definitely pushed us together to become a positive influence to humanity. We should always help one another no matter what!
